About

Hello. I’m Rachie – twenty something years old, foodie, mild agoraphobic, animal lover, web designer and wannabe interior designer.
I was born on the 28th of April and raised in western Kentucky. On July 7th, 2007 I married my high school sweetheart. We are owned by two miniature dachshunds, Aly and Ben. I am studying to be a nurse and one day hope to be a nurse anesthetist.
Through my years of university I have come to realize that I don’t want to do just one thing. I don’t think I can. Although I know I am going to have choose something to be my “profession”, I’m having fun learning all the different trades I’m interested in. I am a certified pharmacy technician, a certified nurse aid, an EMT basic, a professional bridal consultant, an amateur photographer, and a self taught web designer. Everyday I’m learning new things.
Music is my life’s passion. I l0ve to perform. I’ve been singing in my church choir since I was 7 and played the piano from ages 7 to 16. I was part of a professional childrens’ chorus all through elementary and middle school – even toured through Europe when I was 11. I was in my high school’s Chamber Choir all three allotted years and sang in my university’s choir 2 out of the 5 years I attended. Since I was classically trained I am capable of singing any genre. It’s in my blood really. Every female on my mom’s side grew up singing and my great aunt is a retired professional opera singer. It’s a gift that I love to share.
Christmas is my favorite time of the year – I even love the cold and snowy weather. Coke is the only soda I’ll drink but milk is my favorite drink by far. I have a huge sweet tooth and have been known to eat a whole pie by myself, in one day. I love most fruits and vegetables I just don’t eat them often. Italian seafood is my favorite food with my mom’s lasagna being my favorite dish. My hobbies are cooking and baking. I love to read but don’t do that often either. If I weren’t studying nursing I would be down in Nashville, trying to get a singing career going. I cry when animals die in movies but don’t even tear up when a human does. Unless it were Nicole Kidman or Johnny Depp. If there were any money in it here in the south I would be an Interior Designer. My favorite TV channels are Nat Geo, HGTV, NBC, The History Channel, and all of the Discovery channels. I have too many favorite movies to name but off the top of my head, in no particular order: Titanic, Where the Heart Is, The Notebook, Saw (all of them), Harry Potter, LoTR, The Bourne trilogy, and any Leonardo DeCaprio movie. It’s a given that I’m going to LOVE anything with Johnny Depp or Nicole Kidman in it. The first five “shuffle” artists on my iPod are: Switchfoot, Dean Martin, Ayumi Hamasaki, Elton John, and Josh Groban. I listen/belt out Disney tunes while driving. I can sing over 1,000 Japanese songs by memory. I’m an amateur photographer with a mediocre camera. I own the DVD collection of Gilmore girls and I watch the entire thing every 3 months or so. I love scary movies while I’m watching them but hate them when I’m trying to sleep later that night. Speaking of sleep, I am a ridiculously light sleeper and it takes me about an hour to fall asleep to begin with.
