CSN rug giveaway!

In mid June I entered Megan’s CSN rugs giveaway. Sadly, I didn’t win the beautiful rug she was giving away but because I entered it CSN contacted me directly about having a giveaway of my own. Yay! My very first giveaway!!!

CSN rugs let me choose any rug, within a certain price range, out of their whole collection. There were so many rugs, so many beautiful rugs, that it took me an hour to narrow it down. This is the area rug the winner will receive:

Features:

Hand-tufted in China of 100% poly-acrylic

Soft plush feel

Contemporary floral design

Primarily gray with brown floral motif

Dimensions: 2′ x 3′

I’m stealing Megan’s idea of how you can enter this giveaway. There are three ways you can enter:

1. In a comment, tell me what are other kinds of giveaways you’d like to see from me. This entry is required.

2. Tweet about this giveaway. (My twitter account: @rachieann) In a separate comment, link to your tweet.

3. Blog about this giveaway. In a separate comment, link to your blog post.

The winner must live in the US and you must leave me a valid email address so that CSN can contact you if you win. The giveaway will end Monday, July 13, 2009, at 3:00PM central time.

Good luck!!!

A slight (big) change of plans

A little bit of small news has changed our plans.

I found out this morning that I won’t have clinicals during my first semester of nursing so I will only have to go to Hopkinsville’s campus two days a week. As oppose to my husband who has to do to Murray’s campus 5 days a week. In light of that knowledge we have decided to stay here until Neil graduates in December and then move to Clarksville. It only makes sense because I was going to be commuting only 30 minutes while Neil was going to be commuting a little over an hour. This way when we move for the spring semester only I will be commuting. Hello, money saving!

This will also give us plenty of time to find a home while we’re still saving money from our free rent here. Going from free rent to a mortgage of $800+ is going to be tough but this extra time will help a lot. A lot.

True, I will have to drive an hour and a half two times a day, two days a week but I like to drive. Really I do. So it’s not a big deal. At least I don’t think it will be.

Anyhoo, sorry if I got everyone excited about my house hunt. It will still be going on, just at a slower pace.

House Hunt Pictures=FAIL

Last Saturday Neil and I went house hunting in Clarksville. This was the second time for me – the first time was with Sam – but this was Neil’s first time and I really think he enjoyed it. I know I did. I also know that I think we may have found the house. The House. I don’t want to talk much about it because we aren’t sure if we’re moving yet and if we wait to move most likely the house won’t be available later. Man, if we do have to wait I would wish and pray that The House would still be for sale. I also don’t want to get my hopes up. I guess we’ll see.

Something I’m a little mad at myself about is the fact that I didn’t take my camera. I have NO pictures of The House or any other house we saw that day. And we saw a lot. How many is a lot? How about 23 houses in 3 ½ hours. Yea, that’s a lot of houses. Hey, what can I say? We kick house-hunting-ass. Next time we go I know I’m going to have to get myself another micro sd card because there were SO many things I could have photographed and I know wouldn’t have had room on my one and only sd memory card.

So, yea, I’m ashamed that I don’t have any pictures for you, my lovely readers but you can bet your bottom that I’ll have some for you once we decide upon a house. Maybe even before that?
