Kissing Cupcakes’ first giveaway!

I had something else planned for this week’s Good Thing but after reading Kay’s new website Kissing Cupcakesmost recent blog entry I decided to postpone it until next week.

Kissing Cupcakes is a sugary treats blog about everything cupcakes. KC is a new blog, only a week old, and has already made a lot of buzz around the net. It has its own facebook group and cafe press shop! And it’s featuring its first giveaway that I secretly hope I win. Heh.

Kay’s giving one of these away!

Look how cute it is!! She’s selling these over on her cafe press shop right now so if for some reason she just decides to give the button to me (it’s no secret now!) you can just hop on over there and “get ‘chu one!”

Check out Kay’s Kissing Cupcakes blog and enter her giveaway today!

Wedding Inspiration Board: Hippie Pretty

Emily’s older sister Jody commented on my first Wedding Wednesday the other day asking me to be on the look out “perfect hippie/pretty dress”. I got to looking into what “hippie” really meant since I was born 20 years too late to completely understand. Of course, Jody was too but as a wedding planner it’s my job to give my clients what they want even if it’s not exactly my style. Anyway, when plugging “hippie” into my google search it wasn’t bring anything up that made me think of Jody.

A little more research led me to believe that maybe Bohemian might be a better fit. Bohemian, like hippie, design focuses on ethereal, earthy, and free spirit details. Of course that opened a whole new window! In this week’s wedding inspiration board I mixed hippie/bohemian with a little romance and added a touch of modern. This is just one of my many takes on “Hippie Pretty”. I hope you like it!

Heather Marie Photography

Heather posted on her site the other day that if anyone was interested in helping her get her etsy shop off the ground she’d pay them. So I guess you could call her a sponsor? Anyway, I offered and if you’ll look to your right, underneath all my RSS junk you’ll see her banner for her etsy shop. I thought that since Tuesdays are now “Etsy Tuesday” Heather’s shop should be its first feature. It makes sense in my head.

(Heather’s) photography is a mix of color & a bit of imagination. The sky isn’t always blue & the grass isn’t always green.

I’ve yet to purchase any of her work but I’m planning on it very soon. Maybe with the money she’s paying me monthly to advertising space? :) Anyway, please make your way over to her Etsy shop and take a gander at the great photographs she has up there so far!

Post Script:

It’s my birthday today! *does a little dance* My friend Amy is taking me out to eat at my favorite restaurant in Kentucky, Patti’s 1800’s Settlement. People from all over the US go to Grand Rivers, KY to eat there. There’s literally nothing else in that tiny town but Patti’s – that restaurant probably brings more money into that town that all of Murray’s stops and food joints do. My sister in law works there full time, and has for about 6 years, so it makes going there even better. Family. Food. There’s nothing in this world more important to me :) For my birthday present from all of you readers out there, tell someone in your family (or close circle of friends) you love them and then eat your favorite food. The End.
