Today I joined NaBloPoMo so this is my first of 30 posting that I HAVE to write. It shouldn’t be a problem since here lately I have been writing way more than I usually do. Sometimes more than one post a day. Wish me luck! And go visit my profile and add me as a friend if you are apart of NaBloPoMo!
Tomorrow is Neil’s birthday dinner with everyone and their mom. His parents, his brother, his brother’s girlfriend and her family, his sister, and then of course me parents. We’re a close family but not this close. We’re eating at a local pizza restaurant and then coming back to our house to have cookie cake. Everyone is coming back to our house! so Neil and I have been cleaning since he got home from work. I hate to admit this but we don’t clean, really clean, unless someone’s coming over that we feel need to be impressed. Or at least need to be under the illusion that I take good care of her son and his house. I even lite candles all around the house. I am a little Mrs. Martha Stewart in the making.
As far as last night went, we didn’t have one trick or treater. Not.one. I can’t say that I’m disappointed. Neil and I ended up watching Order of The Phoenix and I might have gotten annoyed if we had to pause the movie every time someone knocked on the door. It didn’t take us 24 hrs to eat all the candy I had bought for the kids. They sure missed out!
I might take pictures of the house now that it’s all clean and pretty. Those to come!

Love the new layout! It’s super cute, but I agree with someone else who commented on the last one–I miss seeing your pretty face on the homepage. I still have no idea what to put in my little box on mine… let me think really hard and I’ll get back to you.
Good luck with family dinner tomorrow. I cleaned house too!
Also… you might not want to read my latest blog. Just saying. Can’t wait til after Tuesday when we can be friends again! (KIDDING!)
Hope you have a good weekend.

we only had 8 kids come around trick or treating, this year. it was kinda sad! there aren’t THAT many kids around here but the other streets in the neighborhood always seem to be much busier than ours!
Lain’s dad bought pop (& i only drink diet) so i was glad that i wouldn’t have a bunch of chocolate sitting around tempting me. little did i know but his mom bought a box of a HUNDRED mini chocolate bars & baked the gooiest, most chocolate-y “two bite” brownies as well. *dies*
we don’t clean either. we pick up the necessary stuff & do a little bit if needed. we live in Lain’s parents basement so i don’t think the yearning to clean, make it pretty, etc. will come until we have our own place.

Hey, the new layout looks great!
I didn’t have any trick-or-treaters either but then, it’s really not a common thing to do around here. In fact, I don’t know if anybody does this kinda stuff here? Hm. I do know that we go around with lanterns on November 11 or something like that and knock on doors and ask for candy. Maybe then someone will come around.
Can’t wait for the pictures! I’m the same way, by the way… Last time my dad came by just to pick me up I spent hours to get everything shiny and pretty.
Of course, I don’t have a whole house to clean, “only” one apartment… But I also hate it when things are all messy. However, I can be excessively lazy and that side usually wins.

As I said before, love the layout. Sorry you didn’t have any tricker-treaters, that would have been fun! I wish I could do NaBlogWriskdlfjzsmkcvsmf month but A)I have to write papers as I can’t seem to stop mentioning to everyone everywhere but can’t actually start writing them and B)Every month for me is blog everyday month, so I’ve been celebrating for about five years now.
